Everything and the Kitchen Sink
Being a kitchen designer, I have the habit of critiquing restaurant bathrooms. It is a rare occasion if I don’t make a trip to men’s room when visiting a new restaurant to see what materials, lighting, faucets were used. My wife will always ask for my review when I return. One of the most interesting transformations I have seen have been the sinks. From decorative vessel bowls to large concrete slabs the sink evolution has been amazing. Then there is the Kitchen Sink.
This evolution is also taking place in the kitchen as well. The demands of the kitchen sink has limited what materials and configurations can be used and still maintain a functional fixture. Materials have evolved from the old days of stainless or porcelain. Corian and Quartz sinks have provided integration and durable materials than can provide a splash of color.
For me, the most impressive innovations have been the improvements in the use of integrated items that improve the functionality and flexibility of the hardest working fixture in the room.
Integrated cutting boards and colanders make fresh food prep an easier task. Drying racks are also available to unclutter the counter area. The combinations and accessories are growing each and every year. Odds are there is a sink and accessories available that will fit your lifestyle.
So, when shopping for the Kitchen Sink, you can get everything you want.
